About Lynn Sien Designs
With a lifelong passion for design and Chinese culture, Lynn’s works combine the best of both. Elegantly designed, originally inspired, Lynn's jewelry designs are attractive, hand-crafted and each is a work of art. Lynn integrates fine fresh water pearls and semi-precious gemstones and jade into elegant and unique fine pieces of jewelry. Currently her works can be seen at the gift shops of the Guggenheim-Hermitage Museum, Las Vegas, Honolulu Academy of Art, Maui Divers and Robyn Buntyn Asian Art Gallery in Honolulu. In December 2005, Lynn Sien Designs opened a Showroom in the financial district of Honolulu that offers fine designer jewelry at affordable prices.
Opened for business in January 2003, Lynn’s Feng Shui Collection has met with great success, including being featured at Saks 5th Avenue on Union Square. Originally based in San Francisco, Lynn Sien Designs is now domiciled in Honolulu, with an extensive clientele that spans between Shanghai to Martha’s Vineyard. Nevertheless, Lynn still returns to her Marin County studio frequently throughout the year to be close to friends/family in the Bay Area.
Lynn Sien Designs is the culmination of 17 years living abroad in Taiwan and sourcing gems and designing jewelry extensively throughout Asia. Fluent in Mandarin, she travels to China frequently, affording her the opportunity to buy pearls directly from the pearls farmers.
A 3rd generation native of San Francisco, Lynn had a distinguished business career spanning 28 years as the Executive Director for the American Chamber of Commerce in Taipei, Vice President with Merrill Lynch Intl., Vice President for Jardine Fleming, and Vice President & Sr. Investment Officer with Bank of America overseeing $500 million in assets. An economist by training, she holds a MA and BA in Economics from University of California, Santa Barbara and University of San Francisco, respectively. Lynn is also a notable published source on Chinese/Taiwan Cross-strait relations, Taiwan politicals/economics and a CFA in Taiwan.
Lynn has also spent a number of years as a business leader, serving on non-profit Boards, including former President of the Financial Women’s Club in SF, American Chamber of Commerce in Taipei, Community Service Center, Taiwan, Children’s Hearing Foundation, Taipei and currently serves on the Hawaii Women’s Business Center, Honolulu Board of Directors.
